Tulsa is quickly becoming one of my favorite cities. The culture, people and coffee shops are all top notch. ;)
These two love each other with a deep and wide love. They trust each other fully, graciously and wonderfully. We hit it off almost immediately when Laura + I found out that we both have a love affair with Anthropologie, and Andrew + I share a love for Henri Nouwan. I am so honored to be shooting their wedding in November.
(Thanks to Hodges Bend + Zanmai in Tulsa for letting us photograph in your buildings!)
“After all," Anne had said to Marilla once, "I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.”
- Anne of Green Gables, L.M. Montgomery
Almost a year and a half ago now, I held a photography workshop in my home. Three girls attended, and Rachel was one of them. She was a quiet, kind, talented, and married young woman. The other girls and I asked her so many questions about her love story, their little apartment above a sewing shop, and of course, when are those little kids coming? ;)
When Rachel told me that she was expecting her little boy, I was so excited. (Sidenote: I love that the people who have attended my workshop are my friends, true friends.) I had the opportunity to visit the Papp family and photograph them in their home. Easton is such a precious little guy and I loved meeting him and hanging out with Austin + Rachel.
Austin and Rachel, thank you for inviting me into your home to photograph you and your little boy. I had such a wonderful time eating delicious burgers and fries + hanging out with you on your couch. You made my first trip to Ohio absolutely wonderful! xoxo
