questions answered: part 1

thank you to all who asked me questions! here is the first of 2 or 3 installments with the answers. :)

Carrie asked, "Would you ever consider publishing a photo book? Maybe some kind of kids' book, or one all about laughter and funny things, etc."

ANSWER: i have actually thought of this and i would really like to do it! either some sort of "number" book for little kids or book about laughter like you suggested. good idea and i am definitely looking into it. :)

SJ asked, "what's your typical editing process like?

ANSWER: typically what i do is open the picture in photoshop and run, "oh snap," an action from the totally rad actions set. this pops the color and sharpens it. then, depending on how dark the picture is, i run, "lights on" which obviously, lightens the picture up. then i usually warm/cool down the picture and add any other details i want too.

when i didn't have actions, i did basically the same thing using curves and photo filters. it works the same. :)

chichi askeddo you like getting photos of nature, or just people?

ANSWER: well, i LOVE LOVE taking pictures of people. like, it's my passion haha. :) it makes me so happy to capture little moments and expressions. but nature is cool too. it's good for working on white balance and lighting and can make for some cool effects. but i'd rather take pictures of people any day.

Carrie asked: What's your favorite action set?

ANSWER: Wow, this is a hard question. There are so many. But, I think I would have to say that Totally Rad Actions are my favorite. They have diversity and are very crisp and clear. The color just pops. Another favorite? Leah's Summer Skies set. LOVE the colors in this one too. The website is here.

And that's all for now! Keep asking questions if you would like and I will answer them in an upcoming post! :D Thanks to those who asked. :)
