inspiration: pt. 2

up next: more photography inspiration! i really like still life photography even though i don't do it a lot. some prints that i have seen are really fun and especially "vintage-y" which is definitely style when it comes to still life. take a look!

i love this specific shop from etsy called lolasroom.  there are fun, vintage prints that definitely inspire me to get out some fabric and search thrift stores for fun finds!

another picture that i love is this one from etsy, yet again!

i love the colors and the composition, especially the unique use of the "rule of thirds."

this next picture was taken by my friend andrew who is very talented at taking still life. i love the composition and colors here!

another favorite from a friend named carrie who has definite talent both in the photography and design world.

this is just a sample of their work. but i love it and it inspires me. now i just need to go out and do more still-life... :)

so do you like taking still-life or portraits? which of these inspires you as well? remember to leave a comment!

I like the colors in the last one a lot. But I think I like portraits best. :) The problem is finding willing models. :)

I enjoy taking both still life and portraits, but I probably enjoy portraits more. I love capturing people's personalities in portraits =)

i like taking portraits more, because i have more chances to take them. but still life is fun, too. :)

although as you know, i don't take a lot of pictures, since the camera is always glued to my sister's forehead, i think portraits are more fun than still-lifes. :) :) :) annnnd yes. hehehe...

I guess still life has been my predominant style. It's probably because I use manual focus lenses for the most part, and it's a lot easier to get everything right when the subject isn't moving...

Inspiration? Maybe that's why I haven't had much of a vision for photography lately. I have such a hard time coming up with things that aren't cliche or forced.

I have a friend from church whose photographic ability is always intriguing to me. In fact, her style is probably my favorite. It doesn't really inspire me though, because it's not something I feel I can (or should!) attain to. Take a look at her stuff though.

Oh, I really like that last one!! Sometimes I take still-life pics, but I definitely like taking portraits better. Especially of my baby sister. :D

I really like the second one from Etsy. Love the turquoise plate!! And the vintage editing too.

I like taking both portraits and still lifes. But I think I would probably lean towards still life pics...

I like taking portraits, even though I don't use my camera all that often. :) I love looking at other people's photos, though!
